ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Scott Thomas is the Stoker-nominated author of Kill Creek, which was selected by the American Library Association's reader committee as the top horror book of 2017. His second novel, Violet, was named by Library Journal as one of the Best Books of 2019. Originally from Coffeyville, Kansas, Scott attended the University of Kansas where he earned degrees in English and Film. He is the co-creator/executive producer of Disney Channel’s Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Best Friends Whenever and Raven’s Home, and Netflix’s Malibu Rescue.
He has written TV movies and teleplays for various networks including Netflix, Showtime, Syfy, MTV, VH1, the CW, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Freeform. Scott was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for his work on R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour, an NAACP Image Award for Raven’s Home and a BAFTA for Malibu Rescue. Scott’s latest series is Day of the Dead for Syfy, based on the film by George A. Romero. He also has feature adaptations of Kill Creek and Violet in development.
